Central KY Driving school is a great place for people on any level of driving experience! They worked with my schedule as a college student and offer great advice and in depth lessons that prepare their students to be holistic & smart drivers. Karen and Kendra are very sweet and helpful, and gave me great resources for the road test and general knowledge for driving and handling the dmv! I would recommend for anyone in the Lexington area (or KY if you’re needing a driving school anywhere in the state.)

This driving school did an awesome job teaching my granddaughter how to drive. We are grateful to the entire staff and especially for Miguel who gave Audrey most of her driving lessons. She passed the test on the very first try with close to a perfect score. Than you so much!

My nephew did the 6 hour course and it helped him pass his road test on the first try! Karen is personable and very easy to work with from scheduling appointments to discussing logistics of test day and more, and Mr. P was very encouraging, knowledgeable, and approachable during each lesson and when debriefing me afterward. My nephew is on the autism spectrum and Central KY Driving school was so great with him, accommodating his individual needs while ensuring he had the necessary skills to pass his road test and be confident on the road after getting his license. I couldn’t be happier with Central Kentucky Driving School. I thought I could teach my child to drive. I was wrong. They were so kind to my daughter and really taught her to drive. They even took her on I-75 at rush hour and survived. Kendra and Amber were both amazing. The examiner at the state said he can always tell when students have been to Central Kentucky because they look in the mirrors and know how to parallel park. I will continue to recommend you to everyone I know.

Central KY Driving School is fantastic! From day one of inquiring about driving lessons for our child, Karen was kind and incredibly helpful. She walked us through the whole process and provided great info about all of the steps our child needed to take to get their full license. The waiting period for lessons was shorter than we expected and Karen communicated by text at every turn. Their online portal is also very helpful. Heidi was the driving instructor and she was a joy to work with. She is patient, thorough and kind. She provided useful info after each lesson and has an encouraging and positive spirit. And our child passed the test the first time with flying colors. Sending your kid out on the road can be a stressful experience and Central KY Driving School made the whole process better than we could have imagined.

She is so calm, and I feel at ease every time I have a lesson with her. I don't know how to explain it, but I feel relaxed and more confident when Amber sits beside me in the car and instructs me. After I finish my lesson, I pass my road test on the first try. I'm so happy! Yes, now I have my driver's License! Yippee. ! And I have to thanks Karen, too. I had a couple of lessons with Mr. P and he explained everything very thoroughly and made sure I understood what he was telling me. I was anxious about parallel parking but he made it easy and as we kept practicing, I got more comfortable with what I was doing. He was a huge help in pushing me to finally get my license. Everyone there is super nice and helpful, I highly recommend coming here!

My daughter completed the 6 session course and passed her driving test on her 1st try. We worked with Mr P and he was amazing! Our son took classes at Central KY Driving School after he first obtained his learner’s permit and was learning to drive. His instructor was Amber Wedding, who is a thoroughly delightful and personable instructor - knowledgeable, encouraging and invested in our son’s success.

Prior to taking the road test, he wanted to return to take the refresher course, which he did with Dean Paris. Again, it was a confidence building experience with another very personable, and helpful instructor.

When our son took the road test, he had the best score of the day, per the examiner, who made a point to share positive feedback about how well, and safely, our son drove. We couldn’t have been more pleased to see his test results and hear that feedback.

Central KY Driving School was amazing! Amber was my instructor and she was always very insightful and informative. She always asked if I had questions after explaining something and gave great feedback after every lesson. The last lesson totally prepared me for my driving test and she gave me some great tips that made me feel a lot less anxious to take my test (that I passed on the first try)! If you are an adult learning to drive (like me) I absolutely recommend this driving school!

I needed help getting a family member a road test appt. I googled, they were at the top of thr list, so I called, I spoke to Karen. She walked me through each step, I passed on this information to my Stepson, about a half hour layer, he calls us up, New York by the way, he has an appt setup, and on the Day that was mentioned, very very happy, thanks again Karen, Big Big Help. 👍

We had such a great experience and I feel so much better about my son’s safety knowing he has completed these courses! They did great test prep and gave wonderful resources. I initially felt the cost was a little steep but after doing it I feel it was completely worth the value paid!

We have had both of our children go through the 6-lesson training to polish their skills and learn about safety tips from the experts before allowing them to take their driving tests and sending them out on the road solo. They are super helpful and flexible to work with, encouraging of the kids, and do a great job teaching them how to be safe on the road. Highly recommend!

We had a very good experience sending our daughter to this school. She was nervous about being able to drive, but from the very start this school and the owner went above and beyond to help her get her liscense and drive with confidence.
I cannot reccommend Central Kentucky Driving School enough. They did several things for us that they did not have to. From the person answering the phone to the instructor and owner- everyone made sure to answer all our questions, commended my daughter for her diligent efforts, coached her even after finishing the class.
When i wanted to take my daughter to practice parallel driving, I called the school and they directed me where to practice. Later, when we weren’t sure if she had parked correctly, they even had me text them pictures of how the car was parked to make sure she had placed the car correctly where she was supposed to in order to pass! This was AFTER some time had past and she wasn’t even a student with them anymore.
Now more that a year later when we call them, they still answer questions for us! They are very competent and kind!

Central KY Driving School was hands down the best thing we did for our driver before her road test! Amber Wedding was stellar in her instructing for our daughter. The confidence she came away with was worth every penny spent. I would HIGHY recommend Central KY Driving School for all stages (permit, intermediate, driving school, road test prep!) Also, Karen(the office manager) was SO knowledgeable in the testing process which can be confusing. Anyone with upcoming drivers…GO SEE them!!!!!! Excellent experience! My daughter took the 1 hour test prep course & it was extremely helpful to her passing the test on her first try. Her teaching instructor gave her concise and helpful tactics to ace parallel parking & 3 point turns. He also gave her clear expectations on what the state instructor would be looking for. This 1 hour class was worth every penny & we are so grateful for it!

For Christmas , I purchased a couple driving lessons for my granddaughters after both had failed their driving tests. It was one of the best and most appreciated gifts I have ever given them. They quickly gained the confidence and skills they needed to pass their tests with flying colors. Wonderful staff provide a great resource.

I wish I had a better word than amazing, they were all so nice and kind and great at their jobs, the lessons were clear cut, and extremely easy to understand, even though I had very little prior experience driving cars before my first lesson, they instructed me so well I was feeling confident and comfortable very fast.

Very lovely company and very thoughtful and intentional while teaching! I started out here with little to no driving experience and now I have my license. Amber was especially thoughtful and helpful during the whole experience, as she was my instructor. The lessons are worth every penny and I appreciate how patient Amber was during all lessons. She created a calm, and safe environment for a new driver and always made me feel comfortable asking questions!! I was surprised by how easily I was able to pick up on things as well!

The driving lesson program was a fantastic way for our daughter to gain confidence in her driving skills and to prepare for the road test. Keith was very encouraging and supportive. She passed the road test the first time. Karen, who works in the office, was wonderful to work with as well! She made the scheduling process very easy to do and was always quick to respond with anything we needed. Awesome customer service and so helpful!
